She’s an actress, a mommy and a socialite. We fell in love with her in her roles on MTV’s cult classic reality shows Laguna Beach and The Hills. Now we have another reason to love blond bombshell Kristin Cavallari: her new collaboration with Chinese Laundry.

Chinese Laundry is at the forefront of fashion footwear for young women. Now, the brand is collaborating with its own ambassador, Kristin Cavallari. We asked Cavallari why she decided to expand her role from ambassador for Chinese Laundry to shoe designer, and she said, “I had been hoping for a shoe line for years and really enjoyed being involved with Chinese Laundry so it seemed like the perfect opportunity.”

The capsule collection is designed for women on the go, featuring work-friendly pumps, studded flats, booties and platforms and different patterns for a fabulous winter wardrobe. When it comes to Cavallari’s favorite shoe from the collection, she told CK, “I love the bootie. I think it’s the perfect fall/winter shoe that everyone can pull off to add a little edge to any outfit.” When it comes to designing, Cavallari pays attention to the color trends and thinks about what would look good on every body type. She is very inspired by Bridgette Bardot. She says, “She’s the original iconic blonde and had amazing style. I also love Kate Moss’s style.”

Cavallari has always been a fan of Chinese Laundry and has been wearing Chinese Laundry products for years, so it was a dream for her to be a part of the brand’s creative process. When asked about if she plans to expand to women’s wear, the new mama said, “Possibly! I would love to do a nursing bra and tank top line! Lol!”
